Classic Margarita

This classic margarita can be served frozen or on the rocks.

Classic Margarita Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt, or as needed

  • 1 wedge lime

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 1? fluid ounces tequila

  • 1 fluid ounce triple sec

  • 1 medium lime, juiced

  • 1 teaspoon white sugar, or more to taste

How to Make Classic Margarita

  1. Place a small layer of salt on a small plate. Rub the rim of a glass with lime wedge, then dip the rim in salt to coat.

  2. Combine ice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and sugar in a blender; blend on the highest setting until slushy, 15 to 20 seconds. Pour into the prepared glass.
